Movie-making, networking, application and web design. Hillel‚ Technology and Multimedia Center is a hub linking our school and community to the world. Our formalized computer laboratory class enables students to become independent computer users so that they can work successfully with a variety of programs and applications.

Technology classes begin in the primary grades in the Lower School and continue into Middle School each week. Students set up and maintain accounts and folders and learn the architecture of the desktop from menus to icons to dialogue boxes. All students participating in a keyboarding program designed to build typing skills. Students use many cross-platform applications including MS Office, Adobe Photoshop and DreamWeaver, Logo, MicroWorlds, Kid Pix, Apple‚ GarageBand, iMovie, iTunes, iPhoto and Hyperstudio.

A Hillel podcast ensures that every member of the Hillel community is kept abreast of the most current news, calendar, and programs. Hillel students work with digital images and video to create interactive multimedia. Taking what‚ learned in the Technology Center, students work in the classrooms on collaborative projects across the curriculum.
