Morah Dalia Golan teaches Hebrew Language to the 4th and 5th grades and is the coordinator of the Elementary School Hebrew Language Department. She also co-ordinates the Bat Ami Program and the Tel Aviv – Los Angeles Partnership Project. Morah Dalia has been teaching at Hillel for the past 17 years and calls the school her "home". She is originally from Israel but moved to America twenty years ago and raised her three children here who are now also alumni of Hillel. Morah Dalia loves having the opportunity to convey Eretz Yisrael and Ahavat Yisrael to her students and believes in the proverb that "a child is not a vessel to be filled but a lamp to be lit". Morah Dalia completed the UCLA program on Foreign Language Acquisition and Pedagogy and participated in the nationwide institute at UCLA, STARTALK/NHLRC Teachers Workshop in 2009-2010. She presented at the First International Conference on Heritage/Community Languages and received her Gifted and Talented Education Certificate (GATE) from UCSD. Morah Dalia also recently was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2010 by the PTA.
