Students are put in groups. Each group is assigned to research and get information about a city or a sea in Israel.

The students are to make a poster which may include the following items:

1. Title
2. 8 or more facts
3. A story
4. Information about a museum in that area
5. Information about a university in that area
6. Shuls or Kibutzim in that area
7. Map
8. Symbol of the city , if available
9. Pictures

 

Extra Credit: Bring a song or write a song

                  Make a skit

                  Make an advertisement

Project due: Thursday, May 29

We learned that ים כנרת is a small lake in North East of Israel. The students wrote a short paragraph about the lake and its differences of the Dead Sea. The students learned about an old בית כנסת in טבריה the Mosaic found there. We looked at different Mosaic found at Hillel. Tomorrow the students will create their own Mosaic in classroom.

The 4^th grade girls had camped last week at ים כנרת" “ at Hillel. They brought in all the items needed for camping. They did not want to go back to “America”! Please see pictures. We also created a video that will be posted shortly. Stay tuned for our next activities at ארץ נהדרת!
