The warm environment at Hillel provided a safe environment to develop critical tools for life, preparing me both academically and socially for the future.

Jeffrey Kessler, Hillel Alumni Class of 2006, Princeton class of 2015

There is a sense of joy and safety at Hillel and they are the same feelings I had being a student at Hillel from 1975 to 1982, only now I feel that Hillel has grown in so many new areas. From developing its technological abilities to the progressive math program to the music, resource and gifted programs, I am confident in the knowledge that Hillel is giving our kids everything it can to help them feel not only joyful and safe, but elevated, emotionally, academically and religiously.

Mrs. Daphne Orenshein, Hillel Alumni Class of 1982, and Hillel Teacher Since 2004

At Hillel I felt at home. I knew the building and the people, and they knew me. I felt a very warm atmosphere, and the school curriculum was excellent.

It is an honor for our family to be part of the continuance of authentic Jewish Education.

Mr. Louis Kestenbaum, Long time Friend and Supporter of Hillel

To us, Hillel is much more than just a community school--it has become a part of our family. We both graduated from Hillel. Our siblings graduated from Hillel. Our oldest twin daughters have graduated from Hillel and now, our two youngest currently attend Hillel!

Our parents valued the importance of a Jewish education and they have passed their values onto us. Over the past 35 years, we have personally witnessed Hillel establish itself as a respected and thriving institution, leading the charge for academic excellence in our community. Under the great vision and leadership of Rabbi Sufrin, we are confident that Hillel will continue to succeed, prosper and produce the future leaders of our community.

When I was a kindergarten student at the age of 4 I attended Hillel Hebrew Academy Day School in Beverly Hills, and the first thing we would do after prayers was purchase JNF stamps, which we would place on a tree certificate in the outline of a tree... This would have been in 1955.

David Frank, Los Angeles Zone President Planned Giving Chairman and longtime JNF supporter
