Mrs. Kim Weir

Ms. Kim Weir is new to the Harkam Hillel Hebrew Academy teaching staff for the 2011-2012 school year. She will join the 2nd grade General Studies team. A California native, she grew up in Orange County, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from San Diego State University. She continued her education at Pepperdine University, earning a Master's degree in Education and completing her elementary teaching credential. Ten years in the field of education teaching grades 2, 3, 4, and 6 has helped Kim solidify her educational philosophy. A strong proponent of constructivist and project based learning, Kim strives to help each student reach their full potential and become life-long learners. She also has a passion for the arts and tries to incorporate art-based learning into her curriculum.
