Getting Ready for Pesach!

Print
On Monday March 26th, our students visited a local nursing home to sing Pesach songs to the elderly.  This was a very meaningful experience for both the children and those they visited.  The children experienced the satisfaction of doing a mitzvah for others.  The elderly people they met were truly happy to see the smiling faces of the children loved hearing them sing.  As Pesach approaches we are correlating a unit on ancient Egypt to Pesach events as we study this ancient civilization.  Students will learn about about the importance of the Nile and what artifacts can tell us about people who lived long ago.  They will also learn about the pyramids and Pharoahs of the past.  We are now working on creating the pages of a book about ancient Egypt that will be added to their Haggadah.
