Awesome job with the sprints today!
Sprinters of the day:

Liora, Alex, Michaela, Becca

Today's lesson was a review on solving linear equations both two-step and multi-step.  One thing we went over thats new is the nature of the solutions.

1.  One solution

This is when we arrive at one answer, whenever we get
x = a number. For example,

3x + 5 = 20
x = 5

2.  No solution

If variables cancel out and we are left with a false
statement like 0 = 5.

Nothing would work for the variable.

3x + 5 = 3x

0 = -5

3.  Infinitely many solutions or all real numbers

If variables cancel out but we are still left with a true statement.  Example,

4x - 16 = 4(x-4)

-16 = -16  This means that whatever you plug into the variables, uyou would be left with an equal expression.

Homework is the sheet I handed out in class about solving equations
