It is a privilege to serve as the President of the Board of Directors of Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy. The community has supported this great center of Jewish education for over sixty years.

Hillel is a great school and we must continue to support it as we strive for even greater excellence. We continue to set the tone for progressive Jewish Orthodox day school education and push the envelope in our general studies curriculum. Striving for educational excellence, fiscal responsibility and transparency are important goals at Hillel. The Board of Directors works closely with the Head of School, the esteemed Rabbi Y. Boruch Sufrin, to support the school’s stated goals for academic excellence and middot tovot. To achieve excellence, we must ensure that we raise the funds to cover the expected annual financial shortfalls.

On behalf of the whole Board, the parents and the entire school body, we are indebted to our teachers, administration and staff, whose dedication, creativity and holy work is reflected in the development and success of our students. Our staff gives of themselves and shows mesirut nefesh on behalf of our children. Words cannot describe the gratitude and hakarot hatov that they deserve.
